One Year (1) Abandonment of Applications

Pursuant to HRS §436B-9 Your application shall be considered abandoned, will be destroyed, if you fail to complete the license process within one year after filing the application, or fail to take and pass the examination after becoming eligible to take the examination. If an application is deemed abandoned the applicant shall be required to reapply for licensure and comply with the licensing requirements at the time of the reapplication.

Social Worker Application Deadline & Examination Dates

State applications must be approved by the department before taking the examination.

Upon receipt of exam approval from the Professional and Vocational Licensing Division, Licensing Branch, the exam registration is a two-step process.

1. Approved candidates must first register and pay for the examination via the ASWB website at https://www.aswb.org/exam/.
2. Upon receipt of your Authorization to Test (ATT) from ASWB, you may schedule your exam via the PSI Services, LLC website at https://test-takers.psiexams.com/aswb, or via the PSI Candidate Service Center at 855.205.5823 (open 24 hours a day, seven days a week).
