Employment Agency Application Deadline & Examination Dates

If you are interested in taking the principal agent exam, please email employment@dcca.hawaii.gov.
Your email request must include the following:
- Written request for examination
- Name of Applicant – First, Middle, Last
- Mailing Address
- Email Address
- Telephone Number
Please note the principal agent application is not provided until you pass the exam.
After passing the required principal agent exam, file the principal agent and the commercial employment agency applications together with the DCCA Professional and Vocational Licensing Division.
Examination Date

All Licenses regardless of issuance date, are subject to renewal by June 30 of every even-numbered year.
Licenses not renewed by license expiration date are unlicensed and may not practice.
Regain Active Status
Restoration Information (Restore within 1 year after license expiration)
Forfeited licenses may be restored within 1 year and subject to meeting restoration requirements.
(Must restore by hardcopy only)
Failure to restore a forfeited license within 1 year after the license expiration date will result in the termination of the license and the person must apply as a new applicant and meet current licensing requirements.
